Ruler Work Quilting (Simple Circle Template)
The Westalee ruler work templates are flying of the shelves-- let's put them to good use! Mary Ann will teach you how to use the 2'' simple circle, 4'' arc, spinaflex#4 and cross hair templates to get a professional look while quilting on your home sewing machine. (It is imperative that you get your supplies at least 2 weeks before the class.)
Supplies:
Ruler foot
Sew Steady table/ or any extension table
50 wt thread (one or two shades darker than your quilt top)
Bobbin with same color thread
Supreme Slider sheet
Sewing machine that is capable of doing free motion quilting
Westalee simple circle 2'' template, 4'' arc template, spin-a-flex #4 and cross hair square ruler.
Quilt sandwich: this can be muslin on front and back with the following squares or rectangles drawn and sewn on the quilt sandwich leaving 1/4 '' between the blocks.
Block sizes needed (1) 5''x5'' square, (1) 6''x6'' square, 3''x24'' rectangle, (4) 4''x4'' square, (1) 8''x8'' square, (1) 12 1/2'' x 2'' rectangle, (1) 3'' x 11.25'' rectangle
If you cut squares apart make sure you leave at least 1'' all around the shape.
